Synopsis:
In 1996 the county of Muju located in North Jeolla is bidding to host the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. The move surprised the IOC (International Olympic Committee) as South Korea does not even have a ski jumping team! To support their bidding a national ski jumping team is formed with former children’s ski instructor Coach Bang Jong Sam (Seong Dong Il) appointed as the national coach.

The ski jumping team consist of five team members: Bob (Ha Jeong Woo), a Korean-American adoptee and former U.S. Junior alpine skier who comes to South Korea looking for his biological mother (Lee Hye Sook), Heung Cheol (Kim Dong Wook), a nightclub waiter who has a crush on the coach’s daughter (Eun Seong), Jae Bok (Choi Jae Hwan) who is running away from his fierce father and Chil Goo (Kim Ji Seok) who hopes to find success with the national team so that he can take care of his deaf grandmother (Kim Ji Yeong) and also in the team is younger brother, Bong Goo (Lee Jae Eung).

Bob’s purpose to join the team is very clear; to get as much publicity as possible from the media so that her mother can find him. Meanwhile Coach Bang struggles in the team building process as most of the team members are unfit to be a ski jumper. The newly formed team becomes a laughing stock in the beginning but managed to become competitive and passionate, and finally made their way to the Nagano Olympic Games in Japan. Can the team spring some surprise and win gold for South Korea? Will Bob finally find his biological mother?
